Praying for a Miracle!

Many of you already know about our dear friends Laura and Eric. This past week, Eric (35) was diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer.

We four became fast friends when they moved to Minot with the airforce in 2008. With much in common and their love for our girls we found ourselves spending much time together during the two years they lived here. When they told us they were moving to Louisiana last November, our hearts were crushed - but obviously not as devastating as hearing the news from this week.

One of the things that drew me to Laura was her deep love for the Lord that was so evident in everything she did. Her faith is so strong and she's doing well amidst the chaos. Please pray for her though cause she's 20 weeks pregnant with their first baby boy, due in mid October.

Eric and Matt had many great times together as well - shooting, playing music, cruising Broadway, eating steaks and having many spiritual discussions.

They are like an aunt and uncle to our girls. Always grateful for this relationship as their real aunts and uncles live so far away.

Laura's parents call us "The Twins" - Laura and I actually share the same birthday - October 19th! (I am four years her senior though!)

Both Laura and Eric's parents have become so so dear to us and we actually have gotten to know them quite well. We have stayed in touch since they've moved and now they are obviously on our hearts and minds all the time. Dear dear people they all are - they have raised Eric and Laura in solid homes and now their faiths are being put to the test.

I just know they will make it.....

The Lord is their joy and strength.....

Their impact on our lives will always be a testament to God's great love - we weren't even praying for friends - but God knew we needed them. They have blessed our lives in so many ways and we are eternally grateful.

Please pray that God's will is done in their lives.
