Grateful

What a blessing for Matt and I to get away to Mexico and leave our kids with Grandma and Papa Anderson and Auntie Karen.  We didn't worry for one second knowing they were in great hands!

I don't have many pictures......since I was basking in the HOT Mexican sun......but here are a few.  Of course none include Grandma who was doing the boring, non-picturesque things such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and mending!

Not only did they care for the kids and make it an incredibly exciting time for them, Dad did a zillion fix-it projects and Mom kept up on all the details of the house!  New shelves, new handles, new hooks, new hoses, clothes altered, jeans patched, fridge defrosted, detergent made and screens fixed!  Never mind the kids' schedule - piano, swimming, Awana, more swimming.  Then there was church and dates with Papa to Macs, Home of Economy and Menards.  And even some special dates to Bagel Stop and Krolls for treats!  Grandma taught Abbigail a little sewing (and now she's convinced she should be considered a SEAMSTRESS!) and Auntie Karen taught all three how to bake cookies and sing a new song!  Of course there were many rides on the new rickshaw as well!

Doesn't feel like that long ago when I was being held by my ankles in the air!

Sunggles with Papa

Showing Papa her guitar skills!

Performing "Kids Under Construction" for us when we got home!  Wow.....this picture sure brings me back 25 years!

Lotsa love here :)

Sweet Auntie Karen and her even sweeter baby Eli!

Ricky the rickshaw!

So thankful for family who are so sacrificial and who love our kids as much as we do!

ps.Almost thinking we should have scrapped Mexico and stayed for all the FUN.......almost :)
